Items in the store module are categorized according to the category lists. Before adding items you need to add the category list.
To add item category, you need to go to – Store Module --> Masters --> Item Category --> Add New
Enter the name
In sub category - select yes if it is a sub-category under any category or select no if it is a master category. On selecting yes, a dropdown will come to select the master category.
When you select no in the sub-category then you get to choose weather this category is a fixed asset or not. If you choose yes for fixed asset then all the items under this will automatically be categorized as fixed assets.
