To add item go to - Store Module --> Masters --> Items --> Add New
Enter item name, item code.
Select its category from drop down menu (If you cannot find item category in drop-down menu, you need to add it. click here to know how to add.
Then we add its unit and tags and minimum quantity alert. There is a report to show the list of stock who are going below the minimum quantity so that you can make your purchases accordingly. You can further add opening balances according to the stores.
However if an item is a fixed asset then you dont get the option to add the opening stock. For that you will have to make a dummy purchase entry to add them
